The Restaurant

Order up! Time to slow down.

The only restaurant for thirty miles in any direction, this is no ordinary diner. Cowhide booths and panoramic views of the Caliente mountains provide the perfect backdrop to enjoy a locally-inspired meal and watch the world go by.

Our menus feature distinctly Cuyama dishes and celebrate the valley’s agricultural roots. Whether you are starting your day with a biscuit with honey butter and a local ranch’s eggs, or taking an evening break from the road with some perfectly-smoked barbecue, each plate becomes a window into the soul of the valley.

STELLAR SANDWICHES Smoky-sweet pulled pork pairs perfectly with the fresh crunch of pickle and spicy slaw.

RANCH-TO-PLATE Local eggs from SZ Ranch, just 20 minutes up the road.

“We ended the evening at the Buckhorn’s bar-restaurant, a woodsy den of taxidermy where the kitchen dazzled us with a meal featuring produce from local farms and a tomahawk steak of epic proportions.”
